Extra Documents required if leaving the Port in Puerto Rico

• Certificate notifying that you have no current Fines or subpoenas (Obras Publicas) from the Department of Motor Vehicles of Puerto Rico (Valid for only 3 days) 
• Every vehicle must go through and inspection with the Department of Stolen Vehicles of Puerto Rico (P.R. Departamento de Policía) (Valid for only 5 Days) 
• If the owner of the vehicle is not present, then and affidavit created by a Professional Lawyer of Puerto Rico is required to authorize another individual to drop off the vehicle on your behalf
• Original certificate stating you are not in debt with the Automobile Accident Compensation Administration (ACAA) (Administración de Compensaciones por Accidentes de Automóviles) (Valid for only 20 days)
• Receipt of the last pressure wash and clean  on the vehicle which includes the interior, exterior and under the vehicle
• A copy of your current income (vales de ingresos)
• An affidavit made in Puerto Rico authorizing the port and Garcias Auto Transport permission to transport your vehicle.

It is possible to depart from these islands back to the mainland as well as the option to coordinate a driver to transport your vehicle to your residence if desired, providing a door-to-door service.

 As Alaska is a state comprised of 100s of islands that form the Alexander Archipelago, it may be required to organize a ferry boat ride to get to a specific island that may not contain a major port.
